Issues of expanding cooperation between neighborhoods in preventing illegal migration in the Andijan region were discussed.

✅ On November 29 of this year, a Working Meeting of partner organizations was held at the “Our Love for You” Center in Andijan city within the framework of the project “Sweden’s contribution to supporting the activities of the UN Office for Migration in preventing irregular migration to Sweden and the European Union”.
☝️ This event was attended by representatives of the International Organization for Migration in Uzbekistan, the Andijan regional khokimiyat, the regional Department of Internal Affairs, the Sub-Commission on Combating Human Trafficking, the regional branch of the Migration Agency, seven citizens’ assemblies of 3 neighborhoods in the city, and representatives of non-governmental organizations.
❗️As part of the project, small grants of 5 thousand US dollars announced in the neighborhoods are contributing to the development of family entrepreneurship in order to develop and finance business initiatives of returnees and potential migrants.
👍 Also, at this event, office equipment was donated to 3 neighborhood citizens’ assemblies in the city where the project is being implemented.
